  1. HOLY. CRAP. I made this for my family for dinner tonight and it is hands down the best dish I have ever made, possibly best dish I've ever eaten in my life. Sooooo delicious, it's like better than restaurant quality. Also shockingly easy to clean up after, too! THANK YOU NISHA!!!! Will be making this again very very very soon

What if I'm a curry skeptic too. Will it work?

  3. If I don't have fresh ginger, how much ground ginger can I use?

  4. Marie27803 says:

can you substitute almond butter for tahini paste?

  5. DElish! Didn’t have any almond butter left so I used peanut butter and it added a hint of warm roasted flavor. I wonder if I could substitute green lentils ? as I have some of those and no red ones left.

  6. I make this recipe all the time, with a single alteration — I add half an onion (finely diced).

  7. Never had lentils a day in my life, but was looking to try Indian style curry (I made Japanese style a month or so ago, but my curry powder was Jamaican so I guess it was Japamaican 😂) and this looks pretty good 🤔 I personally might add some chicken but definitely looking to try it as is 😀

I’m making this recipe for dinner tonight! It’s simmering on the stove right now. It smells lovely and spicy. No baby-mouths in this house. 🔥

Watch these videos all the time for the last couple of years. Yesterday was my first day actually trying to make one of the recipes and this was it. So easy to make and so delicious. Made the mushroom stroganoff today and it was also delicious and pretty easy to make.

I am so excited to make this! However, I wish there was a substitute for the crushed red tomatoes. It’s an annoying food allergy..

  11. I don't like the taste of coconut. Do you think i would still enjoy the taste of this recipe?

Will continue to meat moderately because it is the best source for protein and tastes amazing … but def will try your recipes for my no meat Mondays (:

  13. Have you tried adding Tofu to this? Would it be best cooked and added later in the cooking process?

  14. Yes! Can’t wait to make this.

  15. Mad props to the dude insisting QUATERNITY is the right word – he was 100% correct. Not at all surprised by the refusal to accept a basic fact when ignorance is unearthed (even completely understandable ignorance) It's the reaction of the zeitgeist – 'I don't like being wrong and refuse to shift my position , be curious or grow as a person – so you're wrong. 🙄 Has the camera man got a channel I can follow?

I tried this after the video was uploaded back in 2020, and now in 2023 I still make this at least once a month. I double the recipe and freeze a good amount of it – it defrosts wonderfully and tastes like new!

I wanted to thank you for sharing this recipe. My family is still getting used to me being a vegetarian. I'm the one who usually cooks at family "gatherings". And now that I had to find something that everyone would like, my choice fell on this one. Even my brother in law, a picky eater and carnivore, really liked it. So I wanted to pass on the compliments to the chef.

  25. My favorite thing about this recipe, as a super Type A person, is that I can do most of the dishes while the lentils simmer.
