Thank you so much for simply showing how to use/score the sheets of puff pastry. Never having used them I had no clue what to do with them (roll out more, bake first????) once I had defrosted the sheets. The fillings were no prob. Great Help!!

  9. Philippa Pay says:

These are terrific ideas for appetizers that people can gracefully enjoy with merely a napkin and their fingers and a beverage.

  10. Hello and thank you for these great recipes! Just a quick question: can you take all three out of the freezer and immediately insert them in the oven or do they need to rest in room temperature or in the fridge ?

Beth I discovered your channel about two weeks ago and I've become an addict. Loved this video and tutorial in particular because I was looking for some puff pastry recipes. The do-ahead aspect of the recipes is a great bonus for this time of year as well. (I'll be adding a bit of sherry and rosemary to the mushroom filling).

  12. Made the Brie and Fig pastry 🥐 today. Oh it was so good! I should have made two!!

  13. L S says:

Do you grease the tin before placing the pastry in it?

I'm not sure what is meant by Italian cheese, Italian sausage, or Italian seasoning. Could you tell me what the equivalents would be in France, Beth? Also, for some reason, French puff pastry, while very good, is sold in rounds, not rectangles, which often means either making awkward shapes, or a bit of wastage. If you freeze the items, do you bake them from frozen, or thaw first? I think you said one of them could be put in the fridge to thaw, would that be the same for the others?

  15. Very nice, i will repeat 😃😃😃

Is Italian cheese cheddar or mozzarella?

Hi Beth. I found a spicy chicken sausage that reduces the calories from 225 per serving for Italian sausage down to 80. Still delicious. I make these three appetizers all year long as my neighbors constantly request them.

  25. Magik Dust says:

These look good, however, I would've preferred if you had actually showed us how you made the mushroom mixture. I'm pretty sure you said in your video that you'd leave a link to that video in the description, but I don't see a link to that video in either the description or the online recipe page. I do appreciate you showing us the other two, though, and I appreciate you sharing your recipes with us. 👍

  28. Karen Richey says:

I have made the braided fig Brie four times and we love it. Beth provides such simple explanations that I felt confident I could make the same beautiful creation. Well, it came out beautifully, especially when I realized in Florida with the hotter temperatures if I put the puffed Brie in the fridge for 10 minutes before baking it the whole thing puffed up much higher. Thanks Beth.

About every puff pastry appetizer, you keep it in a freezer. Should it be thaw before putting it in the oven or not?
