  11. My way of draining cooked mince is to use a spatula to move the mince to one side of the pan, then slightly tilt the pan, & the fat will run from the mince & pool & you can use a table spoon to spoon out the fat for future cooking use as lard. 500g fresh beef mince has about 20% pure fat.
