    @thedomesticgeek1 Comté would be more likely to be used in French onion soup, Gruyère cheese is Swiss. They are similar enough though.

    Tip; you can’t always find fresh figs especially in the fall and winter so what I do is I substitute fresh figs with jarred figs and it comes out perfect. You cannot beat figs and goat cheese. Yum.

    Yum! With the twists, would it be easier to sprinkle the parmesan onto the pastry before it's cut and twisted? It would hopefully stick to the butter and you'd end up with more flavour!

    I was googling recipes for puff pastry hors d'oevres for the last couple of hours and even the manufacturer of my store bought puff pastry frozen dough is reluctant to show me how to effectively apply their product as an enclosure or base for various fillings, visually. I know how to make fillings, I never used frozen puff pastry before and whew.. finally here you are to show me how. THANK YOU!!! You saved my xmas party menu ideas!!!

  24. I'm Indian, and I recommend trying the "veg puff patty" filling, which is onions, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, peas, and masalas! Vegan and yum!
