Medical marijuana has been treating serious illnesses for years now. I think we can all agree that it has its own purpose in terms of medicinal use.

  3. I enjoyed this talk! One topic that kept going through my mind was about the ethics of medical marijuana use, especially viewed through the lens of a few principles of ethics such as beneficience and non-maleficence.

Beneficence refers to the obligation of healthcare providers to act in the best interest of their patients. In the context of medical marijuana use, this principle suggests that healthcare providers should consider the potential benefits of using medical marijuana to alleviate symptoms or treat medical conditions. For example, medical marijuana has been shown to be effective in managing chronic pain, nausea, and muscle spasticity associated with multiple sclerosis.

Non-maleficence refers to the obligation to avoid harm or minimize the risk of harm to patients. In the context of medical marijuana use, this principle suggests that healthcare providers should consider the potential risks of using medical marijuana, such as the risk of addiction, impairment of cognitive function, and the potential for adverse drug interactions. Healthcare providers should carefully weigh the potential benefits of medical marijuana against its potential risks before recommending it to patients.

Overall, these two views provide a unique perspective to take into account when a provider is deciding on how to help their patient. Patients should be provided with accurate information, based on evidence of research, to make an informed decision about whether or not to use it.

What's funny is when they have a guilty conscience for giving a child Cannabis even if it means saving her life but they have a clean conscience pumping her full of very very strong benzodiazepines such as Midazolam which is highly addictive and structurally very similar to Xanax (Alprazolam) and which don't work…..or don't work well

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ Natural therapies from nature. Hope the demonization and stigma associated with the plant changes for the good of mankind. Man made chemicals seem to be what has been preferred for so long, for too long now.

  31. What a True Miracle ๐Ÿ’— Thank You Ted and Thank You Doctor Shackelford for sharing your Story. Most important Thank You to GOD for Creating things that help us to Live Life. I am Blessed to own over 115 acres in Colombia with a Waterfall and River and Mountain and the Family Goal is to Plant and Grow and Harvest and Export Legal Medical Marijuana to America and any country that needs it and to bring the price of it down to be more affordable. Its silly that this plant is not grown like crazy all around the World. I have never had a Seizure and I hope and pray and wish never to have one. I have no anxiety. I can explode in Anger if I have to when anyone tells me something I don't like or believe or tells me to do something I don't want to. I have never tried Mariquana. I believe its put on Earth just as Veggies and Fruits are put on Earth. Cheers to a Greener Future & Life.
